A former Marine, Ortez served with distinction in active duty from 2016 to 2018 at 29 Palms, CA before being honorably discharged due to an injury. In 2019, he founded Battle Firearms, a testament to his passion for the art of marksmanship and combat readiness. He was certified as a USCCA Instructor and Official Partner in 2021.
